NAVYA annonces a partnership with Keolis  and the support of Lyon’s Metropole which aims at experimenting the first public transport servicing done by an electric, driverless and 100% autonomous vehicle.

Confluence is the new south-district of the 2nd borough of Lyon, located at the end of Lyon’s peninsula, next to the confluence of the Rhône and the Saône. Originating from an industrial area in the end of the years 1990, this district is destined to important mutations. The Confluence’s project has for objective to double the surface of the city center of Lyon, by urbanizing the zone.

Confluence has been recognised eco-friendly district by the french government, sustainable district by WWF and has acquired the european label Concerto, for the low energetic consumption of the buildings.

The path of the NAVYA ARMA is 1300 meters long and will be composed of 5 stops with 2 terminus and 3 intermediary stops allowing to serve the different buildings of the district. The path is free of road lights, crosswalk and intersections. With an average speed of 15km/h, the duration of a rotation will be of 13 minutes and 30 secondes (13m30s)

This increase in capital is designed to finance its international growth. NAVYA presents an innovative and ambitious solution that has been developed to take up challenges laid down by today’s society. NAVYA benefits from major advances in technology in the driverless, electric vehicle sector thanks to ten years’ experience in the field and a highly qualified R&D team. Christophe Sapet, its CEO, is supported by a team of 50 people divided up between Lyon and Paris.
