TEPCO CHOOSES AUTONOM SHUTTLES TO IMPROVE MOBILITY WITHIN FUKUSHIMA POWER PLANT
On April 18th, TEPCO has launched its autonomous shuttles service within Fukushima power plant in partnership with SB Drive and Mitsui & Co., Ltd.
TEPCO has chosen to put into service a fleet of 3 AUTONOM SHUTTLES to improve mobility within the site which is one of the world’s largest power plant.
Following the press conference, AUTONOM SHUTLLE did its firts laps. Employees and visitors can now benefit from this 100% autonomous and electric service on a 5.6 kilometers route. The shuttles are operating in traffic on-site and have to deal with many intersections.
This is the first time that autonomous shuttles operate as a transport service on a private site in Japan.
